This is the first of what I hope to be many posts on the amazing region known as the Crown of the Continent. My intention is to publish longer pieces dealing with the history, geography, ecology and culture of the Crown ecosystem every two weeks. I will post news from the region with limited commentary as it happens. Please check out the other pages to learn more about the Crown, the study of geography, and of course, me. I appreciate any comments, news, and tid-bits.
